What Japan actually accepts

How to get your permit in India
- Check that your Indian driving licence is valid and will not expire during your trip.
- Apply at the Regional Transport Office (RTO) that issued your licence. In most states this can be started on the Parivahan portal and completed in person.
- Prepare Form 4A, passport-sized photographs, your passport, your visa, proof of address and a medical certificate where your RTO requires one.
